The main characteristic of this profile is the combination of the historical-linguistic skills, also at an advanced level, and a high knowledge of other disciplines. These profiles are characterized by the continual application of the linguistic and cultural skills within an analytical and critical perspective.
The CLE master program in European literary cultures offers education in at least three European cultural and linguistic domains spanning a large area of thought from literature to history through the language sciences.
Participating universities :
The consortium offering this Masters programme is made up of:
The University of Bologna (Italy)
The University of Haute-Alsace (Mulhouse-France)
The University of Strasbourg (France)
The Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Greece)
Students will study in two or three different universities. The duration of the full-time programme is 24 months. At the end of the Masters Course, the consortium universities provide a double or multiple degree.
Admission criteria for the students
In order to apply to the CLE Master, both third-country and European students must:
Possess a BA-equivalent diploma (180 credits) allowing access to education Bac + 5 (i.e. a « Laurea triennale », a « Licence complète » or a Bachelor of Arts, etc.);
Know at least English and the language of the University of the consortium where they intend to spend their first year in the programme.
Selection criteria for the students
The Committee of the consortium coordinators will meet in February to decide on all the applications. 
After rejecting the applications which do not fulfil the general requirements, a ranking of the applicants will be prepared on the basis of 4 criteria :
diploma (final grade), curriculum studiorum and exams grades;
known languages;
curriculum vitae;
geographical equilibrium.

ACFJ Fellowships for M.A. Journalism at Ateneo de Manila UniversityOverview
Quezon City, 30 September 2011. Applications for the 2012-2013 ACFJ Fellowships for M.A. Journalism are now being accepted.
The fellowship program seeks to enable fulltime Asian journalists to pursue the two-year master`s program at the Ateneo de Manila University in Quezon City, Philippines. Successful applicants would have excellent professional and academic record and a strong commitment to good journalism.
Since the program`s inception in 2003, 126 journalists from 15 Asian countries have received grants. Among them are mid-career and senior journalists from Asia`s largest dailies including the Philippine Daily Inquirer, The Star (Malaysia), Kompas (Indonesia) and news agencies such as Malaysia`s Bernama and the Indonesia`s Antara.
Working journalists are drawn to Ateneo`s journalism program as it is designed for them to be able to straddle work and graduate education, says Dr. Violet B. Valdez, ACFJ executive director. The program, she explains, is delivered using Internet-based distance learning methods that allows working journalists to study at their own pace and time, and in their own homes or workplaces.
Courses in ethics, media law and news writing are at the core of the program. A wide array of journalism electives are offered including reporting courses on religions, health, conflict and peace and international affairs. Lecturers come from Asia as well as Australia, U.K., Germany, U.S and Canada. Scholarship value
A grant covers tuition and other expenses for the two-year M.A. Journalism program, which is offered by the Ateneo de Manila University with ACFJ`s support. Chilean Government Bicentennial Scholarships

The Adelaide Sarawak Alumni Scholarship

The scholarship is provided to support one student per annum who is enrolled in an undergraduate program of study at the University of Adelaide.  To be eligible for consideration an applicant must be a Malaysian citizenwho is currently enrolled as a full time undergraduate student in their second or subsequent year of study at the University of Adelaide.  Applicants must have completed at least one year of study at the University of Adelaide.

The successful applicant will display outstanding academic ability as well as documented demonstrated commitment to community service.  Academic merit will be assessed based on applicant’s cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) for the preceding year.

The Scholarship will provide an annual amount of $7,000AUD, payable in two instalments of $3,500AUD direct to the student following confirmation of enrolment at the census dates for a maximum of one year.

Undergraduate Scholarships

The University of Adelaide offers a scholarships scheme for international students undertaking undergraduate study.  In 2011, applicants who are citizens of the following countries will be eligible to apply for an undergraduate scholarship:

Scholarships for international students who are citizens of Indonesia, Korea, Thailand or Vietnam

The Adelaide Outstanding Achiever Scholarships International (AOASI)

• Up to ten Adelaide Outstanding Achiever Scholarships International (AOASI) are available to international students who are citizens of Indonesia, Korea, Thailand or Vietnam undertaking study in any academic discipline, except Bachelor of Medicine Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) and Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS).
• Benefits are the waiver of full tuition fees for the normal duration of the program, subject to satisfactory performance.
• A scholarship recipient completing a three year degree program who is offered a further year in the Honours Program may apply for an extension of the scholarship to cover that year.
• Scholarships are available only for the first four years of a double degree.

Application process

For students seeking a scholarship for undergraduate study commencing in 2011 a separate application process for scholarships is required.

The scholarship application process will require completion of an online form.

Applicants will be required to have already received a current unconditional offer of admission to the University of Adelaide to be considered for a scholarship.

Students wishing to apply for a scholarship should lodge their application for admission several weeks before the scholarship application closing date.

Students with a conditional offer of admission must have demonstrated that they meet all the conditions of their offer, and have received acknowledgement from the International Office that their offer is unconditional, beforelodging an application for a scholarship.

For further information about international undergraduate scholarships and programs, please contact one of the University of Adelaide's International Representatives.

Please note: a separate application is not required for:

• Applications submitted through the South Australian Tertiary Admissions Centre (SATAC) for 2011 entry; or

0. Scholarships will be awarded strictly on academic merit and only actual results can be used. Forecast results are not accepted for scholarship selection. For Australian Year 12 students the basic TER will be used. Bonus points will not be counted.

Enrolment Conditions

0. Scholarship holders must commence study at The University of Adelaide in 2011.
0. Candidates are required to enrol in The University of Adelaide as ‘international students’ and must maintain ‘international student’ status for the duration of their enrolment in the University. The scholarship will be terminated if a student changes their residency status.
0. Scholarship holders are expected to enrol in a full time load. A scholarship holder who is considering reducing his/her enrolment load must first consult with staff in the International Student Centre. International students are expected to complete their programs within the duration specified on their visa. The University may only extend the duration of study under compassionate or compelling circumstances.
0. Undergraduate scholarships are available for up to four years, subject to satisfactory progress. The University reserves the right to terminate scholarships of students who do not maintain satisfactory progress. Satisfactory progress is defined as the achievement of a GPA (Grade Point Average) of 5 (out of 7).
0. Where a student fails, or withdraws from courses in a given semester (or equivalent teaching period) such that the semester GPA (Grade Point Average) is less than 5.0 in two consecutive semesters, the student will be deemed to have failed to maintain satisfactory academic progress and the scholarship will be terminated unless the University is satisfied that exceptional circumstances exist.
0. If a student faces exceptional circumstances requiring him or her to return home, he/she may apply for a one year deferment of enrolment without loss of scholarship, provided this is approved under the student visa requirements.
0. In order to make a case for exceptional circumstances, a student will need to provide a detailed statement and independent supporting documentation e.g. a doctor’s certificate etc.
0. If a scholarship holder enrols in more than the standard load of 24 units per year, or in courses which increase the tuition fee beyond what is indicated in the scholarship offer letter, or enrols in courses at another institution, he or she shall be responsible for the payment of the additional tuition fees.
0. Students who complete a three-year degree may apply for an additional year, in an Honours program, but extension of the scholarship for the fourth year is subject to the decision of the relevant faculty.
0. The scholarships cover the amount of tuition fee indicated in the scholarship award letter for up to four years of study at the University of Adelaide. The scholarships do not cover the costs of visas, Overseas Student Health Cover, travel, accommodation, living expenses, books and study materials or any other expenses associated with living in Adelaide or study at the University of Adelaide.

The University of Adelaide offers a scholarships scheme for international students undertaking postgraduate coursework study. The selection for these scholarships is extremely competitive.

In 2011, applicants who are citizens of the following countries will be eligible to apply for an undergraduate scholarship:
Indonesia, Korea,  Thailand, Vietnam

The Adelaide Postgraduate Coursework Scholarships International (APCS)

Up to six scholarships in 2011 may be available to outstanding international students who are citizens of Indonesia, Korea, Thailand or Vietnam to undertake a postgraduate degree by coursework in any academic discipline. Benefits are payment of 50% tuition fees for up to two years, subject to satisfatory performance.

How to Apply

For students seeking a scholarship for postgraduate coursework study commencing in 2011, a separate application process for scholarships will be required.

The scholarship application process will require completion of an online form.

Applicants will be required to have already received a current unconditional offer of admission to the University of Adelaide to be considered for a scholarship.

Students wishing to apply for a scholarship should lodge their application for admission several weeks before the scholarship application closing date.

Students with a conditional offer of admission must have demonstrated that they meet all the conditions of their offer, and have received acknowledgement from the International Office that their offer is unconditional, before lodging an application for a scholarship.

Eligibility

• The Adelaide Postgraduate Coursework Scholarship (APCS) covers 50% of the tuition fee costs of a postgraduate coursework program for a maximum of two years.
• Scholarships will be awarded strictly on academic merit. Extra-curricular achievements will not be considered.
• Citizens of Indonesia, Korea, Thailand and Vietnam only are eligible to apply for the above scholarships.
• Candidates who have applied for Australian permanent resident status are ineligible to apply.

Application Deadline

Scholarship applications for an academic program in Semester 1, 2012 will open in September/October 2011.

Please remember that to be considered for a scholarship for entry, you must have an offer of admission and have met all the conditions of your offer by the closing date of scholarship applications in order to be considered.
